Internship information

General Farm Description: Certified Organic Farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. This season we are focusing on our organic plant nursery (garden starts for our community & beyond), fulfilling a grant that serves organic vegetables to low income families in our area, and supplying wholesale produce to our local food coop.

Internship Details:

We are hiring 3 crew members who must have a minimum of 1 year of organic vegetable farming experience. Our crew of 5 will work in all aspects of the farm from greenhouse production, vegetable crop production, harvest & post harvest handling, and all general farm task responsibilities. Educational Opportunities: We are not offering a formal educational experience as in the past. However due to all staff having prior farming experience and a drive to learn, this is a great opportunity to take your learning to the next level. Numerous opportunities for delegation and on farm learning.

Skills Desired: 1 year minimum organic vegetable farm experience

Meals: On farm veggies supplied.

Stipend: $13-$16 hr based on experience

Housing: Optional on farm housing for $200/month offered.
