General Farm Description: Pyramid Farms flower operation produces high quality organic flowers for sales at farmers markets and local wholesale direct to stores. We are located 5 miles from downtown Chico Ca on a part of a larger 11 acre Certified Organic Vegetable farm. We have a small flock of chickens and a small dairy goat herdshare program, which you will help with.

Internship Details:

Full time employment at $15.50 hour plus free on farm housing in a 28 foot travel trailer. You will work closely with the flower manager planting, transplanting, maintaining and cutting/arranging flower bouquets for sales at farmers markets and local wholesale.

Our flower operation is in our 8th year of operation as part of a larger organic vegetable farm with it’s own 5 person crew. Our flowers bouquets are bright and beautiful and long lasting! Lisa the owner/manager is fun to work with a loves to listen to music when arranging bouquets. Lisa is also a enegetic presence at our farmers market booth and has lot’s of close bonds with our customers.

Mornings start with a brief meeting and then cutting commences. The afternoons are spent arranging bouquets or on maintenance of the flowers.

Educational Opportunities: Gain valuable working experience on a flower farm that produces high quantity flowers to our local community.

Skills Desired: Being a responsible, hardworking member of our small flower team is key. Being able to take direction in arranging bouquets is important.

Meals: Employees provide their own meals, and have free access to vegetables and eggs and milk.

Stipend: Full time employment at $15.50/hour

Housing: Yes free housing in a very nice large travel trailer.
