Chris and his wife, Kirsten Marra, farm at Muddy Roots Farm in Wallingford, Connecticut, where they grow vegetables and raise pasture-raised poultry and pork, which they sell through a CSA and direct to customers. Chris graduated from NCAT’s Armed to Farm training program, which helps veterans become farmers and ranchers. Kirsten comes from a long line of dairy farmers, and Muddy Roots Farm operates on leased land in the community where Kirsten’s family raised dairy cows for generations.
