Reducing Risk, Expanding Markets and Building Community

The Organic Association of Kentucky (OAK) is hosting its first field day of the season in Princeton, Kentucky, at Magney Legacy Ridge Farm.  In partnership with the Kentucky Horticulture Council, this OAK Field Day will highlight on-farm best practices and resources for produce safety, including agricultural water testing, risk assessment, sanitation and hygiene, and recent updates to food safety regulations that affect small farms. Join this Field Day to tour production tools and cropping systems in Magney Legacy Ridge Farm’s two acres of production in four high tunnels, greenhouse and crop beds; learn from Angela and partner farms how CSAs and collaboration can boost market opportunities and engage with peer farmers for continued networking and learning.
