We have launched an initiative focused on regenerative farm infrastructure, resource-sharing, and creative reuse. This includes a hub for salvaged materials, shared tools, and workshops, as well as workforce training in essential farm infrastructure—greenhouses, irrigation, storage, housing, and more. Our Agrarian Infrastructure Internship combines hands-on experience in vegetable production with farm construction projects, offering interns the chance to work alongside skilled farmers and builders while helping launch this new resource center.

Internship Overview
This unique hybrid internship combines farm work with training in sustainable construction and resource management. Interns will split their time between fieldwork at PVF and hands-on building projects with a team of talented builders. This is an opportunity to gain experience in vegetable production while also learning essential skills for farm infrastructure, salvage, and creative reuse.
Farm Work Responsibilities (20 hours/week)
Planting, cultivating, and harvesting a wide variety of vegetables
Washing and packing produce for CSA shares and farmers markets
Assisting with farm stand operations and weekend market shifts
Learning and engaging in regenerative agricultural practices
Participating in team meetings and educational opportunities
Building Internship Responsibilities (20-30 hours/week)
Assisting in the construction and maintenance of farm infrastructure (greenhouses, walk-in coolers, sheds, barns, housing, raised beds, irrigation systems, storage solutions, etc.)
Supporting the management of a salvage and creative reuse hub for farm materials
Engaging in deconstruction projects to repurpose materials for sustainable farm infrastructure
Learning basic carpentry, plumbing, and sustainable resource management techniques
Contributing to farm-related projects for neighboring farms in the region

Oportunidades educativas: Working with experienced farmers to learn vegetable production skills, working with the creative salvage/reuse manager, learning to repurpose materials for farm infrastructure.

Habilidades requeridas: We seek individuals who: Have a commitment to regenerative agriculture and sustainable infrastructure Enjoy hands-on, outdoor work in a collaborative environment Are eager to deepen their skills in carpentry, mechanics, and creative reuse techniques Are open and willing to engage in a diverse and dynamic farm setting Can commit to the full internship period Previous farm or construction experience is not required, but mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, or engineering skills are a plus!

Comidas: Plenty of fresh vegetables provided, plus a weekly farm potluck

Remuneración: $500/month stipend for Agrarian Infrastructure Internship $12.50/hour for farm labor beyond internship hours

Vivienda: Rustic on-farm housing in communal setting available in Wheatland.
