The National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT), a private non-profit organization helps people by championing small-scale, local, and sustainable solutions to reduce poverty, promote healthy communities, and protect natural resources. NCAT is seeking a Web Application Developer to join our team. The position may be located at one of NCAT’s offices in Butte, MT, Keene, NH, or Fayetteville, AR. The position will work extensively with content management systems, PHP programming, and website maintenance.
The position is responsible for extensive web application design, programming and maintenance of multiple websites. Develops reports; provides statistical analytics for all web sites and provides web application assistance to users. Candidate will be responsible for updating and maintaining company website content including social media and will also ensure all NCAT websites are cutting edge, user friendly and up to date.
Must possess experience with Microsoft and Linux server platforms for developing and editing of web applications. Applicant should have a strong working knowledge of IT practices, including networking infrastructure; systems and security; reliable backup procedures for data recovery. A working knowledge of mail servers and firewalls is desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of project oriented groups in both local and regional offices.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a full-time position with a starting wage of $16.00-$22.00/hour depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
