Join NCAT for a one-day beginning livestock workshop at beautiful Wholly Cow Farms in Judsonia, Arkansas. NCAT Southeast Regional Director Margo Hale and NCAT Livestock Specialist Linda Coffey will teach sessions on business planning, marketing, and sustainable livestock production.
Farmer Ryan Pace will lead a tour of the farm and share his experiences raising organic grass-fed beef. He will also discuss his rotational grazing and forage management systems.
Other topics will include hog production and an introduction to USDA programs. Attendees will receive complimentary resource materials, including books and ATTRA Sustainable Agriculture publications.
The workshop will take place on Friday, October 4, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wholly Cow Farms is located at 615 Graham Rd. in Judsonia.
