Members of the NCAT Gulf States office attended the Mississippi Tri-County Agricultural Co-operative’s 2nd annual conference recently.
NCAT Regional Director Rockiell Woods provided sustainable agriculture information and expertise at the daylong event.
The conference included three tracks of educational presentations, as well as an area farm tour.
Formed in 2009, the 45-member co-op is composed of small, socially-disadvantaged farmers/ranchers (men, women and youths) primarily from three Mississippi Delta counties – Panola, Tallahatchie and Yalobusha.
