The eight partner organizations—including NCAT—who brought the Making Your Garden Grow conference to Arkansas earlier this year are now offering mini-grants to support school and community gardens in the state. Applications will be accepted through 11:59 pm on Dec. 4, 2013. Grant awards will range from $200-$500. The funds may be used for materials, tools, and other needs, excluding personnel.

For a complete list of eligibility requirements and instructions, and to download an application form, go to http://www.arcf.org/Grants/GrantProcessGuidelines/MakingYourGardenGrowSupportGrants/tabid/399/Default.aspx

Making Your Garden Grow is a partnership of Arkansas Children’s Hospital Research Institute Childhood Obesity Prevention Research Program, University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, Delta Garden Study, FoodCorps Arkansas, Arkansas Community Foundation, Feed Communities, National Center for Appropriate Technology and the City of North Little Rock Fit 2 Live Initiative.
