NCAT and its FoodCorps program in Des Moines will host a Sunday Supper potluck meal Sunday, January 19, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This event will be one of America’s Sunday Suppers across the country that FoodCorps members are hosting to bring community members together to discuss ways we can make a tangible difference. Along with the informal meal, our FoodCorps Des Moines team will give a short program on their work with schools locally and across Iowa to encourage healthier eating and to connect youth to school gardens and local food.

The meal will take place at the Children and Family Urban Movement space, 1548 8th St., Des Moines, from 5-6:30 p.m. The Des Moines FoodCorps team will provide several pasta dishes and asks attendees to bring a complimentary dish (salad, healthy side dish, dessert) and/or beverage. Thank you to HyVee for helping provide food and supplies.

All are welcome at our Sunday Supper! Please RSVP by Friday, Jan. 17, to Marlie at
