The Montana Asbestos Safe Weatherization Demonstration Project accomplished two important goals:

  1. To provide much-needed weatherization in low-income homes with asbestos; and
  2. To develop, test, and refine draft protocols for safely weatherizing homes with asbestos based on extensive asbestos testing and monitoring.
