NEW JERSEY STATE FUNDS
- Lifeline Assistance Program is
funded from general fund revenues and provides a heating assistance benefit to elderly and
disabled citizens. Credit is transferred to a client's utility bill if a homeowner
or tenants receive cash benefits. In FY 2001 grants totaling $71,573,850 were issued to
318,103 Lifeline recipients.
