How can the foundation formwork be reused, either as formwork on other jobs, or as structure, blocking, etc. on this project?
Remember to include reuse in the project specifications.
For brownfield or previously
developed sites:
Is there already a structure on the site? Can any foundation components (i.e. the slab) be
reused whole in this building? If not, can existing building foundations be reused onsite
as fill?
Can the building be built on a
rubble trench foundation?
Can the new building go in the footprint of an existing or previous building to minimize
impact on the building site? Does this allow the reuse of existing electrical and/or water
infrastructure?
