Progress Toward Diversity
In recent years, NCAT has made significant progress in its efforts to promote diversity among staff and clients. Recruitment, and particularly intern recruitment, now reaches more minority--including tribal--institutions and attracts more diverse applicants.
NCAT's minority employment history illustrates that the percentage of minority staff has risen steadily over the past five years, from 3% to 9% of employees. This exceeds diversity levels for some counties where NCAT has operations, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Meanwhile, NCAT's intern history also shows a significant proportion of minority interns.
It's also worth noting that NCAT's staff shows wide diversity in age, and that managerial, program and technical staff enjoy a near gender balance.
